Physical Therapy Intervention is one that is used to maintain, develop, and restore people’s movement and functional ability. This starts out with a specialized evaluation to assess functional and mechanical limitations. Through these findings, we formulate a diagnosis and create an individualized rehabilitation plan containing the various treatment methods that we provide at Revive Physical Therapy. Our goal is to provide the patient with the latest evidence based and innovative treatment that focuses on the specific goals that you the patient wants to reach, while providing a family atmosphere.
Functional Dry Needling
Dry needling is a technique physical therapists use to treat pain and movement impairments. A certified practitioner inserts a small monofilament needle into the muscles causing dysfunction and pain usually accompanied with a trigger point. Dry needling stimulates the body’s natural healing processes and has been shown to produce an analgesic effect, which is to reduce one’s pain.
Manual Therapy is a specialized form of physical therapy utilizing various skilled, hands-on techniques to assist with diagnosis and treatment of dysfunctional soft tissue and joint problems. Therapists utilize manual therapy in order to help restore soft tissue and joint restrictions, improve ROM, and decrease pain to get you back to full function.
